Located in the most southern corner of the City of Penrith, lays the pretty village of Luddenham.

Taking its name from a property that was owned by John Blaxland (the older brother of Gregory Blaxland), who received a grant of 6,710 acres in 1813. The Blaxland’s owned a property in England named “Luddenham”.

From the early 1800’s the area was primarily used for timber-getting, farming, grazing, horse breeding and market gardening. Growth took place in the late 1800s and early 1900s when several orchards, vineyards and guesthouses were established.

Today, Luddenham is still a sparsely populated rural district used for farming and agriculture. A picturesque setting which combines a rural lifestyle with the convenience local shopping facilities and infrastructure connecting Penrith, Liverpool and Camden.
